My
Approach
When I had my fourth baby I hired a postpartum doula, but I didn't know what to ask of her and I did not have the capacity to delegate tasks. In the end, I didn't feel that it served either of us well. This is so common for new mothers. I want you to emerge from your postpartum cocoon knowing that doula care was the best investment for you and your family.
As an herbalist, Ayurvedic postpartum doula and certified nutrition consultant who specializes in fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum, I have the opportunity to blend all of these modalities to create an individualized approach to your health. I have the ability to guide you from preconception to your postpartum window by assessing and working with your unique nutritional needs and imbalances both holistically and through the ancient teachings of Ayurveda.
In Ayurvedic postpartum care, we focus on 4 pillars: rest, diet, herbs, and warm oil application called abhyanga. Though I can adjust the packages to your individual diet preferences, comfort levels, and budget, these pillars will remain the same, as you cannot experience full nourishment through one without the other. This is great for new mothers because they can focus on what matters most- resting and bonding with their baby- while knowing that their care and household tasks are covered.

For the best experience, care is better clustered into consecutive days rather than spacing it out for a couple of hours once a week. This is why you'll notice that my packages all include three consecutive days for the number of weeks you choose. This allows me to ensure you are eating proper meals, getting adequate rest and nourishment, and that herbs or other support can be adjusted as needed. During this time I will also help to prep and teach your support person(s) how to continue your care for the rest of the week while I am not there.

What
To Expect

01
We begin with a complimentary consultation, a space where I listen to your unique story and current needs. This step ensures we are grounded and aligned in our vision for your care before we ever step into the work.
02
The weeks before baby arrives are dedicated to building your sanctuary. I provide the education, herbal supplies, and nutritional framework so you don't have to think about what you might need when the time comes. We prep your support system, delegating tasks so you can be fully supported through birth and immediately after.
03
Once you are in your postpartum window, I come into your home for consecutive days of care. We focus on the four Ayurvedic pillars: diet, herbs, abhyanga, and rest. This clustering ensures you are receiving proper meals and that you are never without the warmth and nourishment needed to heal. Each day starts and ends with a check in where you can tell me how you and baby are doing, how the night went, how the food sits with you, and what support might be most beneficial in that moment.
